The Passat has consistently offered various powertrains to cater to different drivers' preferences. Earlier models, for instance, offered inline-four and even five-cylinder petrol engines.
Over time, VW introduced V6 engines, turbocharged options, and efficient diesel engines while offering manual, automatic, and dual-clutch transmissions, along with the newer hybrid engines.
Consequently, despite being a family sedan, the Passat doesn't compromise on performance. The car offers a smooth, comfortable ride with precise steering and well-controlled body roll, even at higher speeds.
