The Skoda Kodiaq is one of our favourite SUVs, and it comes immense cargo space as standard – plus plenty of optional extras. Here are some ideas on how you and your family can utilize this space in the New Year.

Camping with the Skoda Kodiaq

This SUV is particularly suited to camping holidays, thanks to its ample cargo space. The dimensions of the Kodiaq allow you to fit all you’d ever need into it for an adventure into the countryside!

The Kodiaq is 4.7m long. 1,882mm wide and 1,676mm tall. In addition, the Kodiaq has some features that give it the edge over other SUV’s on the market. The Kodiaq’s wheelbase is 91mm longer than the Hyundai Santa Fe, one of its main rivals, this provides more space for passengers without effecting the maneuverability of the vehicle.

The Kodiaq has the potential to be a 7 seater, when it is the capacity is around 270 litres. However when it is in 5 seat form the capacity rises to around 750 litres and if all the seats are down then this grows to a maximum of around 2,005 litres. With this amount of cargo space, the Kodiaq is suited to tackle even the most strenuous of family excursions, all with room to spare!

If you’re planning a trip away with the family, the Kodiaq is a perfect car to take down to the coast. It’s not quote long enough to fit the surfboard inside the car, though you won’t have any trouble getting a collection of damp and sandy boogie boards in the spacious boot.

More to the point, however, is the fact that you can easily up the already expansive practicality of this model by specifying it up to include roof racks or roofbars -making this the ideal board-hauling motor.

And if the weather turns nasty? The Kodiaq has nifty umbrella storage inside the doors, so you can always keep yourself dry whilst getting out of the wetsuits and into the warmth of the heated interior. Tri-zone climate control, I hear you say?!
