ŠKODA Connect App - How to Connect Your Vehicle
Discover how to connect your vehicle to the ŠKODA Connect app by following our step-by-step guide:
1) Enter your VIN code
To connect with ŠKODA app, you need to enter your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) code. To do this, simply navigate to your garage within the ŠKODA Connect app and enter your VIN code. If you need help finding the VIN code there is a help link at the bottom of the screen. You can use the camera function to scan & load the VIN code directly into the app.
2) Your Vehicles Technology
Once you’ve inputted your VIN code press the “Continue” button. The ŠKODA Connect app will then tell you the technology your vehicle is equipped with, as well as the features available for your vehicle.
3) Finalise Connection
The vehicle is now almost in your garage, you just need to finalise the connection. To finalise the connection, go to your vehicle & connect your phone to the vehicle via SmartLink. This can be done through a USB cable or wirelessly depending on what your car is equipped with.
4) You’re good to go!
Once you’ve finalised the connection, you’re good to go! You should see your vehicle on your phone within your garage. You can now use all the features that are available for your vehicle - such as logbook, vehicle health report, Trip planner and more.
ŠKODA SmartLink+ Logbook
One of the main features of the SmartLink+ features is the Logbook. This feature enables you to track your road trips.
1) How to use Logbook
To use this feature and track your trip, you must open your ŠKODA connect app, select the Logbook title and connect to your vehicle via the SmartLink. The app will start to record your trip, however if you leave the app or lock your phone the recording will be stopped so to ensure you successfully record your trip make sure your app stays open.
2) View your Trips Data
When you have finished your trip all data on your road trip can be found in the Logbook title. To view the trip information simply click on the trip, this will load all driving data related to this trip. You can see the route taken, where in the journey you reached maximum speed, highest RPM's, milage information, Economy and much more.
