How does the Mercedes Hybrid System work?

Mercedes are set to introduce 2 new plug-in hybrids this year as a part of the new updated C-Class range. They maintain that classic C-Class feel whilst hosting a fantastic hybrid engine that’s able to kick out around 208bhp. You can also opt for a toned down version of the model that offers 191bhp.Other optional extras that you can have with the car include: 12.3in high-definition digital display, a revised multi-function steering wheel with touch-control pads, a 10.25in free-standing infotainment display and a touchpad controller within a reworked center console.

Both of these hybrid cars also come with optional smartphone integration that is compatible with both android and apple devices. As well as this, the C-Class will also be offered with brand new remote parking pilot and driving assistance systems to make your experience even better!

Under the hood, the Mercedes Hybrid Engine

The word ‘Hybrid’ is thrown around a lot in conversation throughout the automotive industry but what does it actually mean to be a hybrid engine. The Mercedes hybrid engine runs from two different motors, one electric and one petrol. This is known as a parallel hybrid and that is the type of engine that is used in these C-Class models.
