VOLKSWAGEN ID.5 TRIM LEVELS

The ID.5 is available in a range of trims, giving drivers the flexibility to choose a model that best suits their individual style and preferences. Currently, the ID.5 is available in four trims:

VW ID.5 ELECTRIC RANGE, CHARGING, AND PERFORMANCE

Depending on which model you opt for, the VW ID.5’s electric range and charging statistics vary from each trim.

For example, the entry-level Pure Match trim is equipped with a 52kWh battery, delivering a range of up to 227 miles. The Pro Match trim offers the longest range in the lineup, reaching up to 344 miles with its 77kWh battery. Close behind is the Pro Black Edition, capable of up to 341 miles. Finally, the range-topping GTX Edition features a 79kWh battery, providing a range of up to 327 miles.

When it comes to performance, the ID.5 delivers an impressively electrifying drive. Depending on the trim level, 0–62 mph acceleration ranges from 8.9 seconds in the entry-level Pure Match to a sporty 5.4 seconds in the high-performance GTX Edition. Top speeds also vary by model, ranging from 99 mph to 112 mph.

The Pure Match’s 52kWh battery delivers a moderate charging time of around 5.5 hours when using an 11kW AC charger to reach 100% state of charge (SOC). It also supports rapid charging, achieving 10% to 80% SOC in just 25 minutes when connected to a 145kW DC fast charger.

In comparison, the GTX Edition’s larger 79kWh battery takes slightly longer to charge, with a full charge (100% SOC) taking around 8.5 hours using an 11kW AC charger. However, this extended charging time comes with the benefit of up to an additional 100 miles of range. When using a DC fast charger, the GTX supports a maximum charging power of 185kW, allowing it to recharge from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes.

Please note that these battery specifications are based on the current Volkswagen ID.5 lineup, and older models may differ. Additionally, real-world range can vary significantly depending on factors such as driving style, speed, weather conditions, vehicle load, and the use of onboard features.
