SINCLAIR GROUP RAISES MORE THAN £23,000 FOR TŶ HAFAN CHARITY

• Sinclair Group committed £10 from every used car sale between throughout Q1 to go towards the Sully-based charity. 
• With more than 2,000 used cars sold, the donation not only shows a strong start to the year, but provides Tŷ Hafan with funds to support children and their families who are dealing with life-shortening conditions.

Wales’ largest motor retail group, Sinclair Group have raised more than £23,000 for children’s hospice, Tŷ Hafan. 

Fundraising efforts are the result of more than 2,000 used car sales between January and March of this year. Sinclair committed £10 of each sale to go towards the charity, resulting in a total donation of £23,090 from 2,309 used car sales. 

With huge efforts made to make a significant donation to Tŷ Hafan, the total reflects a strong start to the year. And the motor group continues to go from strength to strength, as July saw the announcement that the Genesis brand will be added to its portfolio⁽¹⁾. Sinclair were one of just a few selected in the UK to represent the brand, and is the sole distributor in Wales. Drivers can see Genesis on sale from 2024. But that’s not all. Earlier this year, the group also announced GMW ORA⁽²⁾ to its catalogue. The ORA Funky Cat can be found at Sinclair’s Swansea showroom, and these additions join an already impressive range of brands represented by the Group across South Wales. 

Tŷ Hafan provides comfort and support to children with life-shortening conditions. The dedication and commitment of their experts mean that they’re able to provide excellent palliative care to children in the community, and support for their families too. But running the hospice and it’s outreach services costs around £5.2 million each year, so the funds raised will not only play a crucial role in this, but means support will be there to help those who need use of its facilities. 

In December 2021, a similar campaign was run over a 4 week period. The Group raised £5,000 for the charity back then, but even with an extended time frame this time around, the campaign exceeded expectations with almost five times the amount raised.
