New Chequered Flag Jaguar E-Pace Special Edition Announced

It brings us great pride and pleasure to welcome the new Chequered Flag special edition for the E-PACE to Jaguar’s existing line-up of stunning compact SUVs. This is sure to add to the ever-growing popularity of the E-PACE which was the brand’s most popular vehicle from April 2018 to March 2019. With a number of beautiful design enhancements and a wealth of outstanding new features of standard, the new Chequered Flag Jaguar E-PACE represents the next evolutionary stage of an already popular classic. 

What’s new outside?

Take a look at the beautiful exterior and you’ll see what makes Chequered Flag unique. You’ll likely notice the R-Dynamic body-coloured bumpers, twin tailpipes and LED headlamps with signature J-blade. There’s also an additional Black Exterior Pack. 

You’ll also notice the Chequered Flag’s exterior side badging and 19-inch Satin Dark Grey wheels which add to the prestige feel of the edition. The Chequered flag is available in three colours- the exclusive new Photon Red, Corris Grey and Yulong White. 

Driver convenience is enhanced by a new powered tailgate and keyless entry.

What’s new inside?

Step inside and you’ll see prominent Chequered Flag treadplates, which add further to the prestige feel when combined with the Ebony Grained Leather interior and red stitching.

Settle into the 10-way heated front seats, lay your hands on the R-Dynamic branded heated steering wheel and marvel at the panoramic roof, as well as the 12.3-inch TFT Interactive Driver Display. This enables greater connectivity through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as offering screen mirroring so you can use your favourite apps on the go. 

The interior also boasts beautiful black aluminium gearshift paddles and an Ebony Morzine headliner.

What’s new under the bonnet?

The Chequered Flag model offers customers a choice of high-performance drive trains with 150PS and 180PS diesel AWD automatic variants, as well as 200PS and 249PS petrol AWD automatic variants as well.

All of these feature Jaguar’s state of the art AI which learns the driver’s habits in order to better anticipate their needs and deliver key functionalities exactly when they’re needed. Examples include adjusting the seat, cabin climate and infotainment display based on drivers’ individual preferences. The car can also recognise each driver by their key fob or the Bluetooth signal on their phone as they draw near.

Adaptive Dynamics allow for better handling and control than ever before, monitoring vehicle movements in two milliseconds increments and calculating the required damping force every 10 milliseconds for instantaneous responses to both driver inputs and changing road conditions.

Any more good news?

As a matter of fact, there is! The entire range of E-PACE models also includes the certification of E-PACE D150 FWD Manual to the RDE2 emissions standard. The net result for customers is a first year VED saving of £320 and a reduction of Benefit in Kind (BIK) taxation by 4%. Just when you thought that this vehicle didn’t have any more to offer!
